Box 7 Tip: Find your “spot.”
Find a “spot” for time with God. In the Bible, Jesus was known for pulling away from the crowds, spending time by himself in nature to pray and recharge. Around your move-ins location, look for a location where you or a small group can easily spend focused time with God. Make that a consistent “spot” in your weekly routine. Your spot might be in the bleachers, a balcony over a gym, a bench outside the school, a quiet lounge area inside the school. Where’s your “spot”?
Plan: thinking ahead, where and how will I spend time with God?
Pray: where & when will I pray? what & who will I pray for?
Pursue: who will I pursue building a friendship with this week?

Gospel of John 1:1-17 and 16:16-24
This short book in the Bible is like a poetic sermon on the Christian life. John, who knew Jesus closely as an Apostle, is writing to first-century Christians but also to us. He wants us to participate in genuine fellowship with the fullness of joy.
Praying can be simple — just talking with God multiple times a day. He wants us to speak to Him! You can ask Him to help you focus or share your struggles with Him. You can ask other Christians to help you pray.
You can read the verses in your Bible or favorite app. If you don’t fully understand a scripture passage at first, that’s ok! You can talk about it with someone else in Box 7, and the podcast will explain the meaning of the verses.
37 minutes, epilogue is optional
Respond - Personal Reflection & Obedience
If you are already a Christian, do you believe God wants you to have joy? How has he taught you this? Where do you struggle to believe it?
If you are unsure about faith in Jesus, consider this: how many times have the promises and relationships of the world left you unsatisfied? This summer, how might you try pursuing fellowship with God through Box 7 community?
Share - Focus Group Times
Schedule a short time with a small group (3-4 people is best) focused on your section, tour job, housing, or staff. It is important to set a clear ending time to all Focus Group meetings. You can have multiple Focus Group meetings each week, and combine with routines like stretching, eating, or dot-book work. You can read the Bible, pray together, use the Discovery Bible Study format, or use these discussion points below.
